Minneapolis’ Housing Justice Coalition threw a well-covered block party//rally to call attention to the Corcoran Apartment Shop Rent Strike. The images were shared over social media and used as a rallying point at the block party. Later we converted the posters into well-distributed lawn-signs to physically hold a zone of support in the neighborhood for the renters.

This project was created in partnership with Inquilinxs Unidxs por Justicia, Parks & Power, Democratic Socialists of MN, and the Socialist Alternative. Because the urgency of the organizing and planning, we were able to execute this whole sign project — from first discussion to the block party — in 6 days.
